The colours are fixed using natural elements and might rub off. You can wash before use to remove any surface dyes. 

Machine or hand wash or dry clean. Cold wash separately with mild or no detergent. Do not scrub. Line dry in shade, inside out.

Laundry can contribute a surprising amount to your carbon footprint. Hand wash with minimal water and air dry your clothes whenever possible to reduce energy consumption. They'll smell great and last longer.
